Job Description

The Napa Sanitation District collects, treats, recycles and disposes wastewater for the Napa community. NapaSan is looking to hire interns to their Engineering Department. The successful applicants will work alongside licensed professional engineers as they gain real-world experience working on engineering projects.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed:

  • Comfortable with computers and willing to learn new applications
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Desire to learn skills now that can help lead to a future career
  • Successful completion of algebra and geometry classes


What Successful Applicant Will Receive:

  • Work experience on real engineering projects doing engineering calculations, alongside licensedprofessional engineers
  • Knowledge and experience with ESRI ArcGIS software
  • Skills in working as a team and building workplace relationships
  • Training in reading plans, maps and standard specifications


Compensation and Duration

Hourly rate depending on experience. Position is full time, 40 hours per week, during summer break from college.


Minimum Qualifications

College student with engineering major and/or engineering-related coursework.
